He who promised is faithful

When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. In God, whose word I praise – in God I trust and am not afraid. What can mere mortals do to me? (Psalm 56:3-4)

I want to encourage you to trust God today.

Trust God to bring you a harvest even when people do not acknowledge the seed you’ve sown.Trust God to open doors for you even when people have tried to slam them shut.Trust God to bring you new opportunities when others seem to have snatched what should have been yours.Trust God to promote you when those who should have, didn’t.Trust God to vindicate you, protect you and reward you, even if people don’t.Trust God to bring the right people into your life, even though others may have used you, betrayed you or discarded you.

Trust that God sees, knows and cares. He is your very present help in your time of need. Others may have left you, disappointed you, not come through for you, but God has and will never leave or forsake you. Your pain matters to Him. He bottles your tears. He is not aloof, detached or indifferent. Cling to God today. Don’t run from Him; run to Him!

”…Faith, in the higher sense, arises after we have tried our level best and failed to practice consistently the Christian virtues, and realized that even if we succeeded, we would only be giving back to God what was already God’s own. In other words, we discover our bankruptcy. Once we have made these discoveries, God can really get to work. Now real life begins.” — C.S. Lewis

We will never come to fullness until we realize our bankruptcy. C.S. Lewis says it best! I’ve came to a point where I’ve realized that I can never remain perfect and faithful. I made mistakes. I messed up, no matter how much I tried to stay on the line–we will always fail. I’m definitely aware of my faults and shortcoming. Temptation, weariness, poor choices strike my way. Let’s get realistic. But that’s why. That’s why I need Jesus. I know I’m flawed and I can never be perfect, but I’m covered in the blood of Jesus. His perfection covers my flaws and I have access to the peace of God, to freedom. Therefore I will boast all the more about my weaknesses, because His grace is sufficient for me, His power made perfect in my weaknesses.

Dear you, yes you who’s reading this: it’s okay not to be okay. And even when we’re faithless, He remains faithful.

Called Forward

By Christine Caine

The Australian Coat of Arms depicts a very insightful image—and one that I hold dear since I was born and raised in Australia. There are two animals portrayed holding up a shield—the Red Kangaroo and the Emu. They were chosen not only because they are indigenous to Australia, but also because they were created to move forward.

The Emu, a large non-flying bird slightly smaller than its cousin the Ostrich, is known for its speed covering as much as nine feet in a single step when running full throttle. It is the only bird with calf muscles—much like a human—nonetheless, it can’t walk backward. It can only move forward.

The Red Kangaroo—like all kangaroos—moves by a hopping motion called saltation, which literally means “to leap.” They push off with both of their large feet simultaneously and use their tails for balance. The combination of their muscular legs, big feet and tails help the kangaroos move forward effectively. But again, they can only move forward—not backward.

I believe God designed you—another marvel of creation—to move the same way. Forward-bound, never stepping back, not even looking back.

Throughout the Bible, God consistently leads His people in one direction: “Press on…look ahead…forget what lies behind…REACH FORWARD to what lies ahead” (Philippians 3:12-14).

Just as the Apostle Paul challenged the Philippian church to move forward, Propel Women exists to mobilize and motivate women to go forward—to keep reaching for all that lies ahead. The wordpropel means “to drive, to push, to cause to move in a particular direction,” and that is forward. That is the direction God wants you to move.

I know our world often feels like it is spiraling out of control—certainly globally and often close to home. That’s why Jesus is the only hope, and we as Christians have been given the responsibility to shine his light in a dark world—to encourage others with hope that they too can move forward in life. Your world needs believers like you who can lead themselves well, and then lead others.

Propel Women wants to accelerate your growth—through every season, challenge and change. We want to energize you to move from where you are to the next place God has orchestrated for your life—activating you to live on mission, on point. We want to help you REACH forward—a motion that will always require intentional effort.

If you’ve been considering and praying about a change—whether it’s a promotion, moving to a new city, or going for more education—it will begin with your decision to take a step forward.

To help you in your decision-making, take a personal inventory and contemplate these questions:

1. Have you been where you are long enough? Whether it’s some place physical—like your present position—or someplace mental—like your attitudes or habits—if you’ve made a permanent place out of something that was supposed to be a pit stop, or somewhere you were supposed to grow through, then you’ve been there long enough. Procrastinating is never going to move you.

2. Is it time to break out of where you are into where you are going? To break is to shatter, smash, snap, crack or fracture. It’s to interrupt, disturb or break your routine. When you break something, it often hurts physically or emotionally. It might not be comfortable, but it’s often necessary to leave a place that’s constricted, confined and limiting. It’s often necessary to grow to the next level. Remember: It’s just as easy to miss a moment as it is to seize a moment.

3. Is it time to advance? To advance is to move forward in a purposeful way, to press on, to progress. Oftentimes, it takes courage to let go of where you are and what you have to lay hold of the future. You will have to be more faith-FULL than fear-FULL. If God is saying go, your willingness and determination will be necessary to go and receive what he has for you.

4. Is it time to forget the past—if that’s what’s holding you back—and risk failure or hurt again? God will always have another chance ready for you to take. But you will have to let go of any of the past holding you back emotionally. You will have to build strong emotional intelligence and capacity to move forward and successfully lead others and build healthy relationships. You can do this!

5. Does it seem impossible? Maybe…but so what? Impossible is what God does. And nothing he asks us to do can ever be done in our natural strength anyway. If you can manage it on your own, you don’t need God.

It’s time to increase your capacity. The world is waiting—and you are the answer. If God is saying, “Go,” then don’t say, No.” Whether you are a CEO of a national company, a supervisor in retail, a stay-at-home mom managing a home-based business, or a post-career leader in your community, God has things for you to do every day you are on this Earth. There are assignments for you to responsibly manage—and now is the time to live propelled into your future. Answer these questions and discover your leadership capacity—then embrace all that God has for you to do, individually and collectively. Identify how you are equipped, and then be confident in how he’s gifted you and prepared you. He’s calling you forward, the only direction the Emu, the Red Kangaroo and you were ever created to go.

Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God ’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he’s the one who will keep you on track. Don’t assume that you know it all. Run to God ! Run from evil! Your body will glow with health, your very bones will vibrate with life! Honor God with everything you own; give him the first and the best. Your barns will burst, your wine vats will brim over. But don’t, dear friend, resent God ’s discipline; don’t sulk under his loving correction. It’s the child he loves that God corrects; a father’s delight is behind all this. Proverbs 3:5‭-‬12 MSG

Our God is bigger than we know!

God sees in you what you can’t see in yourself.

The world of God defines us. We all have a future.

Matius 6:33 TB

Because of the extravagance of those revelations, and so I wouldn’t get a big head, I was given the gift of a handicap to keep me in constant touch with my limitations. Satan’s angel did his best to get me down; what he in fact did was push me to my knees. No danger then of walking around high and mighty! At first I didn’t think of it as a gift, and begged God to remove it. Three times I did that, and then he told me, My grace is enough; it’s all you need. My strength comes into its own in your weakness. Once I heard that, I was glad to let it happen. I quit focusing on the handicap and began appreciating the gift. It was a case of Christ’s strength moving in on my weakness. Now I take limitations in stride, and with good cheer, these limitations that cut me down to size—abuse, accidents, opposition, bad breaks. I just let Christ take over! And so the weaker I get, the stronger I become
2 Corinthians 12:7‭-‬10 MSG

That’s a life journey.

God will take you from glory to glory.

God will take you from strength to strength.

God will take you from faith to faith.

There is One who sees you of who you are. Someone sees you of who you are, because someone knows your worth. It doesn’t matter where you’ve been, what you’ve been through, how dark your past, He doesn’t care. There is always HOPE in Him. There is always second chance to start a new life. In this a new life, there is a freedom and we also take a courage to shout the praises that He deserve. To proclaim that someone loves me for who I am and because of that I can do the thing that I do now.

Don’t hide from Him anymore. Don’t run from God. Don’t fear the night, because for God, your night is day. Do not fear, because you fearfully and wonderfully made by God.

Every thought that you think of, He already knows.

He loves you. He will take your hands.

He is for you, to embrace you, to provide for you, to breakthrough for you, to love you, to protect you and to uphold you. And you never fall apart.

Dear you,

I know this season has been hard on you. Transitin is never easy. New things are sometimes scary. I know you feel overwhelmed and sometimes let fear linger instead of pushing it away. You may even have fights with God about why and where and how and when, especially when. I just want to encourage you from one who knows, who’s walked through this, and who will surely face it again. Just trust. Just obey. Just keep going. Faith you see, that’s key. Trust the One who hung every star in the sky is the One who has mapped out a plan for your life. You don’t need to know all the details (even though it is sometimes excruciating not to know). You don’t even need to know what your next step is supposed to look like. You just need enough light for the step you’re on. Grab tightly to the hand of your Savior and keep pressing on. You will one day be able to see what He was doing, see why you had to wait. Remember His watch is set to perfect time. Remain faithful friend. This isn’t forever.

“I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out – plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for” (Jeremiah 29:11 MSG)
