You did not choose me, but I chose you…

“You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit – fruit that will last – and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you”(John 15:16).

No matter how great or difficult your past has been, you must be more committed to the future than the past if you are going to fulfill your purpose and become who God created you to be.

  • Growth stops when you become inward rather than outward focused.
  • Growth stops when you talk about where you have been more than where you are going.
  • Growth stops when you think you’ve arrived, rather than remaining a learner.
  • Growth stops when you allow your own insecurities to stop you from raising up others and leaving a legacy.

We are supposed to keep growing, learning, changing and advancing. We are called to be fruitful during our time on this planet. It is to our Father’s GREAT GLORY that we bear fruit that will last (see John 15:16)!

So if your past looks better than your future, get on your knees, open your Bible, begin to confess the promises of God over your life and pray until your passion, vision, mission and purpose return.

Your greatest days are ahead of you, not behind you!
